Carilion Clinic (CC)
CC is a 825-bed Level One hospital

We perform approximately 20,000 anesthetics annually, 60, percent on an
outpatient basis.
A variety of anesthetic cases (Trauma, Neuro, Orthopaedics, Urology,
Pediatrics, EENT, Endoscopy, and General Surgery) are equally shared by
all CRNAs in a collegial manner with the anesthesiology group.
CRNAs do not work on open heart cases.
Anesthesiologists do perform their own cases. Meet the Anesthesiologists of

Twenty Three CRNAs are based at CC and work within a care team

Carilion New River Valley Medical Center (CNRV)
CNRV is a 97-bed, state-of-the-art facility that opened in 1997.

We perform approximately 7,000 anesthetics per year, 75 percent on an
outpatient basis.
A variety of anesthetic cases ( Vascular, Orthopaedics, Urology, Obstetrics,
Pediatrics, EENT, Endoscopy, General Surgery) are equally shared by all
CRNAs in a collegial manner with the anesthesiology group.
Ten CRNAs are based at CNRV and work within a care team approach. Meet

Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital (CFMH)
CFMH is a 37-bed community hospital.

We perform approximately 1,800 anesthetics per year, 80 percent on an
outpatient basis.
A variety cases exist that include General Surgery, Endoscopy, Obstetrics,
and Opthalmology.
The three CRNAs based at CFMH work as independent anesthesia providers.

Carilion Giles Memorial Hospital (CGMH)
CGMH is a 25-bed critical access hospital

We perform approximately 1,300 anesthetics per year, with a mix of
Endoscopic, General Surgery, Pediatrics, Orthopaedics, and EENT.
The two CRNAs based at CGMH work as independent anesthesia providers.
